Frequently Asked Questions

Everything people ask us about downloading Instagram and TikTok content with vGram.

Is vGram free to use?

Yes. vGram is completely free with no download limits, no subscription, and no account. The service is funded by advertising, which is why you will see ads on the site.

Which platforms does vGram support?

Instagram and TikTok only. We do not support YouTube, Facebook, X/Twitter, Pinterest, Reddit, Tumblr, VK, or Rutube. Pasting a link from an unsupported platform returns an error rather than failing silently.

Do I need to create an account or install anything?

No. vGram runs entirely in your browser. There is no signup, no app, and no browser extension. Paste a link, choose a format, and download.

Can vGram download from private accounts?

No. vGram can only retrieve content that is already publicly accessible. Private accounts, followers-only posts, and direct messages are out of reach, and we will never ask for your login credentials to work around that.

Does vGram remove the TikTok watermark?

Where the source provides a version without the watermark, vGram will serve it. This depends on what TikTok exposes for a given video, so it cannot be guaranteed for every link.

What video qualities can I choose?

Anything from 144p up to 4K, depending on what the original upload contains. vGram cannot invent detail that is not in the source — selecting 4K on a 720p upload still yields 720p.

Can I download just the audio?

Yes. Tick 'Audio Only' before downloading and pick MP3, WAV, OGG, or Opus. This is useful for saving a trending sound or a track from a reel.

Where are my downloaded files saved?

Wherever your browser puts downloads — usually the Downloads folder on desktop, or Files/Photos on mobile. vGram never keeps a copy on our servers after the transfer finishes.

Is it legal to download Instagram and TikTok videos?

It depends entirely on the content and your use of it. Downloading your own content is fine. Downloading someone else's requires their permission, or a use genuinely covered by fair use or fair dealing in your jurisdiction. Re-uploading another creator's video as your own is not permitted. See our Terms and Conditions.

Does vGram store the videos I download?

No. Files are processed transiently and are not retained afterwards. We do not keep a download history tied to you. Details are in our Privacy Policy.

Why did my download fail?

The most common causes are a private or deleted post, a region-restricted video, a mistyped link, or a temporary change on the source platform. Check the post is publicly visible in a logged-out browser, then try again.

Does vGram work on iPhone and Android?

Yes. The site is responsive and works in mobile browsers. On iOS, downloads typically land in the Files app; you can move them to Photos from there. vGram can also be installed as a web app from your browser menu.
